North Somerset Deaf Awareness Week

Tuesday 2nd May to Friday 5th May

Deaf Awareness Week will soon be here. We will have stands in the Town Hall, at Castlewood, in Portishead Library, and at Weston Hospital. Lots of activities – online hearing check, deaf awareness activity (with headphones), hearing dogs, lip reading taster sessions, hearing equipment to trial, smoke alarms. There will also be signed story telling and BSL tuition at 4 schools (Uphill, Mendip Green, Locking and Ashcombe).

Please help me represent CANS and meet all the partners I work with to make sure Deaf and Hard of Hearing people can get access to our advice. There is a poster on the board awaiting your name!! Please sign up!! Thanks, Bridie.
